The Collection (2012) – Movie Recap & Review in Hindi
The Collection is a 2012 American horror-action film directed by Marcus Dunstan and co-written with Patrick Melton. It is the sequel to the 2009 film The Collector. The film stars Josh Stewart, Emma Fitzpatrick, Lee Tergesen, and Christopher McDonald in key roles.
Plot Summary
The story begins shortly after the events of The Collector. A young woman, Elena Peters, attends a party with her friends. Inside, she discovers a locked trunk containing Arkin O'Brien (played by Josh Stewart), a survivor from the previous film. When Elena frees him, she unknowingly triggers a deadly series of traps that kill dozens of partygoers. Amidst the chaos, The Collector kidnaps Elena, while Arkin narrowly escapes by leaping out of a window and breaking his arm.
Arkin is hospitalized but soon approached by Lucello, a man working for Elena’s wealthy father. Lucello recruits Arkin to guide a team of mercenaries into The Collector’s hideout – an abandoned hotel – to rescue Elena. Despite his reluctance, Arkin is forced to lead them through the trap-filled labyrinth.
As Elena attempts to escape, she encounters another girl, Abby, who at first appears innocent but eventually betrays them. The mercenaries fall victim to The Collector’s brutal traps, while Elena and Arkin struggle to survive the nightmare. In the climax, Arkin defeats The Collector, sets him on fire, and escapes with Elena. However, it is revealed that The Collector might still be alive.
